TIDA-00561: How to make a tiny pH sensor wireless

Part Number: TIDA-00561
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2650, ADS122U04, , CC2652R, LMP91200

Hello,

I am quite new to this and am trying to figure out how I could put together a wireless pH sensor (probably bluetooth is the easiest way to go). It should be as small as possible and doesn't need any other functionality besides pH value measurement (+temperature for compensation) and being wireless. Can you give me any tips on which parts would be best to use for that and what the minimum size of such a sensor could be?

Thank you for your help,

Viviane

  • Hi Viviane,

I would suggest the LMP91200 for the pH value measurement and the ADS122U04 for the temperature compensation which can be done with an RTD. For the wireless communication I suggest either the CC2650 or CC2652R. Those are multiprotocol wireless 2.4-GHz MCU targeting many wireless protocols. The overall architecture should look similar to the TIDA-00561. In this case the board is 5x6.7cm.
