 My understanding is the average model is only suitable for analysing the low-frequency characteristic , isn't it ? 
My question is wheather the transient model can be used for  analysing the high-frequency characteristic.

    Hi,

    As per my understanding, an average model should able to characterize device till its Unity Gain Bandwidth frequency.

    If you are interested in very High frequency (Noise analysis)  which is beyond UGB frequency then average model might not give desired results.

    Na,

    If you are looking to analyze effects like EMI which need to capture high frequency switch node ringing, then the regular behavioral transient models may not be sufficient for this (these are useful for general behavior of the device and simulating time doing effects).

    EMI (and those requiring the capturing of high frequency effects) need more accurate models that capture these high frequency effects at the expense of simulation time.
