PMP20692: Output Voltage to 15VDC

Hi,

We are interested to use this design for our Flyback DC DC converter. But we require output as 15V@3A. Please suggest us the modifications in the design.

Also please share the transformer details to manufacture at our side or please suggest any part number to purchase directly

Hello Naresh,

To set the output to 15V, change R17 to 13.7K. The primary bias voltage will also increase to 15V, so you may want to adjust the transformer turns ratio.

Hi Bob Sheehan,

Is is possible to increase the output power to 60W(15V@4A)? If yes please suggest me the changes in the design and also in the transformer.

You will have to ask the transformer manufacturer. I don't see saturation current rating, but you likely will need something larger with revised turns ratio. You will then need to evaluate MOSFET and rectifier voltage stress with the new conditions.
