RTOS/TIDA-00484: Error compiling TIDA-00484 in CCS.

Part Number: TIDA-00484

Tool/software: TI-RTOS

I am getting an error as 'Product 'com.ti.rtsc.TIRTOSsimplelink' v2.14.3.28 is not currently installed and no compatible version is available. Please install this product or a compatible version' while compiling the source code downloaded from TIDA-00484.

I have installed the simplelink TI RTOS in the TI root folder.

Let me know if there is any specific TI RTOS file which i have missed.

  • Has CCS discovered it?Note, CCS will need to discover it and restart before it will work. In your project, can you see what is select for Project Properties->General->Products.

  • Thank you Todd for your reply. I tried what you said.
But now I am getting the following error.
    Description Resource Path Location Type
xdc.tools.configuro: Error: Can't find the platform package 'ti.platforms.simplelink'. TI platforms are no longer shipped as part of XDCtools (C:\ti\xdctools_3_32_02_25_core). Please ensure you are either using a pre-3.30 version of XDCtools or you have added a product that includes your platform support along the path 'C:/ti/ccsv8/ccs_base;C:/ti/tirtos_simplelink_2_14_03_28;C:/ti/xdctools_3_32_02_25_core;C:/ti/xdctools_3_31_01_33_core;C:\ti\xdctools_3_32_02_25_core/packages'. Check that this path names a directory containing the necessary platform support and that the platform name is properly spelled. .xdchelp /TIDA-00484_Firmware line 52 C/C++ Problem

Where can i find xdc tools of version previous to 3_30? Or which path do I need to add to products to resolve this?
  • I'm not sure what has gone wrong. During the SDK discovery process, a path to the 'packages' directory of the tirtos product embedded within the SDK should have been added to the list of xdc packages. I only see the top level 'C:/ti/tirtos_simplelink_2_14_03_28' directory added.

Try manually adding 'C:/ti/tirtos_simplelink_2_14_03_28/kernel/tirtos/packages' to the list of XDC tools Package Repositories in your project.

  • Rahul,

    Did this get resolved?

  • Todd,

Sorry for the delayed reply. But the issue has not got resolved.

Can you let me know a step by step procedure to use this firmware in CCS?

I may have did some tweaking which might have lead to this.

  • Sorry, this fell through the cracks.

This is a little too open ended. What exactly are you asking for?
