TIDA-00570: Evaluation module pattern capacity frequency and quantity

Part Number: TIDA-00570
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLPC910, DLP9000X, DLPC900, DLP9000

Good morning,

We want to manufacture the TIDA-00570 test module, but we want to be sure that this will allow us to send at least 10000 patterns to at least 1Khz, otherwise, we would like to know that we should modify the design to achieve this.

thank you in advance.

  • Hello Daniel,

The speed you are looking for is quite achievable.  The binary pattern rate for the DLP9000X with the DLPC910 controller is listed at well over 10 kHz.

However, you will have to design and program your own pattern memory or other input mechanism to store the patterns that you wish to send.

If you can store your patterns into a video stream, then you may want to consider using the DLPC900 controller with the DLP9000 to handily achieve over 1 k binary patterns per second. Please see page 21 of the DLP9000 / DLP9000X data sheet --> http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/dlp9000x.pdf

The DLPC900 kits are available online.  If you are wanting to eventually achieve the highest binary pattern rate possible, then the DLPC910 is the way to go.
