WEBENCH® Tools/OPA228: Can't open my designs in Firefox (flash support) , can't see them in Chrome

Tool/software: WEBENCH® Design Tools

This is the (expected) list of my designs when using Firefox 67.0 :

Unfortunately, I can't open them , because flash support for Firefox has ceased. When will TI adopt open source and get rid of flash ?

In Chrome 63.0, the list is truncated:

Is there a way to get my designs back ? Is there an offline version that works on linux ?

Peter,

We had sent out emails to notify users to save and export their designs because we were going to sunset the Flash WEBENCH Power Designer and Filter Designer last year and early this year. I'm sorry that you can't access your designs but it beyond our ability to revert these designs.

You can re-create your designs by using our new HTML tools.

Very pleased to hear that you switched to html.

I did export my designs as pdfs, so I have all the data and I guess I have to start from scratch with that data.

Hi Alfred

Just tried to recreate a previous design (see attached):

I can't find the option single supply with Vref on non-inverting inputs. I want the same OPA228 in my design with the new filter.

Is this possible ?

Peter,

Currently the new Filter Tool assumes the positive and negative power supply has the same magnitude and does not set the output common mode voltage.

The work-around is to add a voltage source to R3 and the positive terminal of the Opamp with amplitude that is (Vcc-Vee)/2 to the current design and set Vee = 0.

Hi Alfred

Could it be that single supply opamps are not proposed ?. Or why is the OPA228 that I used for my previous design is not in the candidate list ?

Peter,

Very good question! Some of the parts are temporary excluded from the list in order for the tool to meet the export control requirements.

We are currently resolving this issue to get these parts into the tool.
