Dear Sir/Madam

we are using PMP20588 design.

In this for driving the LED's in RJ-45 LAN connector, we need a Ethernet Controller.

Please provide solution for this.

Hi Gangadhar,

In the PMP20588 design, the port LED is driven by the hardware: as long as the port is turned on (port voltage >22V), the LED is turned on. Do you mean you are looking for a software way to control the port LED through a Ethernet Controller IC? Thanks.

Dear Penny,

In that Indication is there for only PD detection.

We need the solution for driving the LED's in RJ-45 LAN connector in according to the DATA,PD detected,Speed.

1. RJ-45 (DATA connector) Connection Established,DATA Speed.

2. RJ-45 (DATA + POWER) PD Detection, DATA Speed.

There is no PHY on that reference PoE board.

Hi Ross,

The reference design is focused on power only and I think Gangadhar is looking for some controller that they can drive the LED to indicate the data status as well as power status. Thanks.

A shift register and Led drivers are suggested:
