TIDA-00928: SD detect

In TIDA-00928, VAGO_AFBR-5803Z is used. 

It says Input Optical Power Minimum at Window Edge is -33.9dBm. Signal Detect – Deasserted is -45dBm.

Between -33.9dBm and -45dBm, DP83822 won't de-assert but input power is out of min value.

DP83822 says SD of opto-module is connected to LED_1 as below

"The LED_1 pin is not used in design and that, if the electrical link between the fiber module and the DP83822 is broken, disconnected or otherwise disrupted, the link will recover only by initiating a soft reset through MDIO/MDC interface."

I am wondering if DP83822 becomes to lose re-establishment link between -33.9dBm and -45dBm.

Would you advise us about this?

    Please note that we have not implemented SD function in TIDA-00928 to use the pin as a LED pin.

    You are right on the link re-establishment.

    With the current configuration, the only way to recover from loss of link is to do a reset either through MDIO/MDC interface.

    Alternatively,  a soft reset through the reset pin is provided.
