TIDA-00951: Why 2 current senses on the 48V side

Hello,

On the 48V side, current is measured on hide-side with a shunt and the TIDA-01141 (with an INA240) and on low-side with a same value shunt and a OPA376. Why 2 current senses ? I don't see how the current can be different.

Hi, Adrien

Both current sense circuits are OK in this design, they are demo for different position current sensing.

OPA2376 has relative low Vcm range ('V-' -0.1V~'V+' +0.1V), which is only suitable for low side current sensing;

But, INA240 's Vcm can upto 80V, which could be used both high side and low side current sensing.
