TIDA-00281: External components around the drive FETs

Part Number: TIDA-00281

Hi,

I noticed that there are many (total 7 x 6 = 42) external components around the drive FETs in this reference design, including gate resistors, diodes, and capacitors (such as R55, R56, D9, D11, D10, R54, C73 in Drive A). I am wondering whether they can be eliminated by programming the parameters associated with the gate driver, DDA0008G? Are these external components necessary because of the high current in this design?

Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you,

      John
