Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCD3138,
Hi,
Can you explain how the input, output voltage and current sampling ratio of the UCD3138 in the TIDA-00653 schematic are determined? This issue is not explained in the user manual.
Thanks!

Hi,
The ADC input range is 0-2.5V, so all the measured signals are scaled for this as follows:
1. Input voltage: 33k and 1k resistor divider = 1/34 of 20V-40V nominal input
2. Output voltage: 8.06k and 1k resistor divider = 1/9.06 of 11-14 nominal output
3. Current is measured across 1mOhm sense resistor and then amplified x26.1 and centered at 1.25V giving an effective range of +-48A measurement range. (1.25V at ADC input = 0A, 0V = -48A, 2.5V = 48A)
Please let me know if anything is not clear or if any other questions.
Regards,
Swami
