TIDA-020004: PCB Impedance when changing radar device on referecne design

Part Number: TIDA-020004
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AWR1642, AWR1843

Hello,

We have modified the TIDA020004 reference design to use the AWR1843 chip, instead of AWR1642, by using the antenna pattern and pinout from the AWR1843 EVM design.

However, we are unsure how this effects the PCB impedance?

The AWR1843EVM PCB has 100ohm differential impedance on layer 1. The TIDA020004 reference design has 50ohm single-ended impedance on layer 1.

My understanding is these are equivalent. Is that correct?

Will changing the chip from 1642 to 1843 affect the impedance of the TIDA020004 reference design?
