TIDA-01624: demo

Part Number: TIDA-01624
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDA-00824

hi,

I need a spare hw of TIDA-01624 for a demo...

Is there any matching paste/material to apply (in the previous TIDA-00824 the temp sensor was immersed into a resin and in contact with a metal plate that then was exposed to the skin)?

thansk a lot in advance

  • Vincenzo -

Will have to look and see if any of these are left - Brandon will contact you over email, but it may be few days as he is on timebank today and tomorrow.

closing this post as it will move to email.

  • hi

we are still looking for the thermally conductive epoxy used in TIDA-00824 (and/or in the newer TIDA-01624) and what the metal cap was made of.

They are trying to build a similar prototype and looking for this epoxy and a suitable metal cap.

Any information is welcome to help us move fwd...

    thanks

  • HI Vincenzo,

There is no paste or epoxy used in TIDA-01624.

For TIDA-00824 the metal and paste used is not indicated. For metal you would want to use a material appropriate for skin contact such as stainless steel. The thermal response time will benefit from using the thinnest piece you can mechanically support.

For thermal grease almost any option you choose would be appropriate thermally (3rd parties such as digikey have quite a few options), but you want something with as high of a thermal conductivity as you can find, and you do not want to use an excessive amount. A thin layer that completely connects your board/device to the metal contact is the best option. Just be mindful that you don't cause any leakage between exposed pads that are connected via thermal paste and you should be fine.

    Best Regards,
