Hi team,

I have a question about the Reference design TIDA-01573, where is the Laser Diode installation position?
I drew it at the block diagram attached. Is it correct?

Hi Tom,

Thanks for reaching out.

This is the laser diode that is unpopulated out of the box of the lmg1020EVM.

The users guide section 4 explains the operation.

The EVM contains pads for attaching a laser diode of choice for testing with the EVM. The pads can be found on the side of evm there are 3 of them for the split power supply operation.

According to the users guide section 4, I marked the Laser Diode at the block diagram.
Is it correct?

Hi Tom,

Thanks for the follow up, this is correct. The user has to provide either the resistor load or the laser diode for full operation of the power loop on lmg1020 EVM.
