TIDA-01573: Changing the Output Current

Hello Team,

Good day.

The TIDA-01573 is capable of an output current of 60A. However, our customer wanted to know how to modify it to have an output current of only 20mA to drive a single Laser or LED with pulse width between 10-200ns.
How can he do this?

Do you mean modify the board for TIDA-01573 to test it, or modify the design to make his own board?

It should be "modify the board for TIDA-01573 to test it."

He will only be driving a single laser with a current of 20mA with pulse width between 10-200ns, and he does not know how to configure the board (hardware, software) to do this.

Hi Art,

To achieve a smaller laser diode current you can use the lmg1020 EVM and make the resistor load R5-R8 larger. With a 20V vbus voltage a 1kohm load resistor load will allow 20mA through the FET.
