TIDA-01385: Application for 44.4V Battery

Part Number: TIDA-01385

Hello All,

I would like to use the same mechanism, incorporating the CT to charge a battery. The battery has a voltage of 44.4V. I would like to know if I can replace the supercapacitor in the circuit and incorporate said battery.

Kind Regards,

Adhir.

  • Hi Adhir.

you can use the same ideal to charge the battery. but i'm not sure if the current out of the CT is too large for the battery.

  • Hi Jasper,

The CT will be used to take power from a 60-100A transmission line and step down to a current of 5A in the secondary. The battery is used to power a drone. The drone will be crawling the transmission line, where effectively while crawling, should take power from the transmission line and charge the battery + supply power to the drone's load.

    Regards,

    Adhir.

  • Hi Adhir,

it is a much different application as TIDA-01385. we don't have a solution that can support this application.

But I think you can use the 5A from CT to generate a stable voltage, such as 45V. and use this 45 V to charge the battery. or directly charge the battery with this 5A.
