I want to communicate with BQSTUDIO with firmware of EV2400 and TIDA-00499

Can you please tell me what to do?

What is the GUI talking about in the datasheet? Can i use it?

Please connect TIDA-00499 to BQSTUDIO or tell us anything related to the GUI.

Hi,

I think you are trying to use the wrong GUI for this specific reference design. BQStudio is for battery management devices. If you read the design guide for the TIDA-00499, it shows the software you will need to interact with the board.

TIDA-00499 is a Transient and Digital Fault Recorder AFE Using Differential Amplifiers and HS ADC Reference Design.

Is there a typo in your post?

Hi ChiHyeon,

Ok, I understand. Here is the link to the BQ76930 Evaluation Software: https://www.ti.com/lit/zip/sluc539

You can refer to the BQ76930 EVM User Guide for using this software to interact with the BQ76930: https://www.ti.com/lit/pdf/slvu925

The reference design uses an MSP430 to control the BQ76930. There is sample code available for TIDA-00449 on in the software section of the site. If you want to use the Evaluation software, you need an EV2400 module to connect between your PC and the BQ76930 I2C pins.

Is there any WINDOW GUI program for UART communication with TIDA-00499?

As a result of checking the program you sent, it was a program that communicates with bq769x0 through I2C communication.

The value change program through MSP430 and UART communication is on the datasheet. What does this mean?

Hi ChiHyeon,

Unfortunately, I there is no GUI provided for this reference design. It only provides sample code for the MCU which includes code for the UART. I think the best tool for debugging the MSP430 is Code Composer Studio: https://www.ti.com/tool/CCSTUDIO There is an online version of the tool as well.
