Hi experts,
I'm designing my BQ76930 battery packet board refering to this TI ref design. I have a few questions about this design, please kindly help guide.
1. Is this D15 for ESD protection? what is the purpose to used 3 different ESD protections between pack+ and pack-?
2. D15 [MURS360T3G] is a fast recover diode, why use this instead of a TVS?
3. How do you choose the value of the cap C23,C25? in this design , the value is 0.1uF. Can I use a capacitor with a larger capacitance? such as 4.7uF.
4. About the spark gap usage, see it is used between [PACK+] and [PACK-]. but these nodes supplies relatively high DC voltage and current. could you please suggest if there are some risk? i ask this is becasue from below AN, seem spark gap are commonly used for protecting communcation line.
