TIDA-00318: TIDA-00318 : not reach BQ25100YFP output voltage

Part Number: TIDA-00318

Hi,

we designed TIDA-00318 Qi Compliant Wireless Charger for Low Power as per the your guidelines.

www.ti.com/.../TIDA-00318

we got output of BQ51003YFF is 4.97V (~5V) at D1(OUT) pin. That is ok.

But we didn't get 4.2V at output of BQ25100YFP. We got only 3.988V, but in our application, we are expecting at least 4.1V

So I need some suggestion to improve our BQ25100YFP output voltage.

Thanks...

  • Hello

A couple of things to check:

1.) The standard ISET resistor is 1k for 135mA.  Load greater than that and voltage will decrease, load less than that and voltage is 4.2V.

2.) Check the voltage at ISET, stable voltage at this pin will indicate the device is in Constant Current mode (current regulation).

3.) How are you simulating a battery?
