TIDA-060013 can convert I2C to CAN

Can we used to it for SMBUS to CAN also? to be used with here:  www.ti.com/.../bq78350-r1a.pdf

    Deepak,

    Since SMBus is a derivative of I2C and in general can use I2C devices to realize the SMBus implementation, this should work with SMBus. You can find a general I2C and SMBus comparison application note here describing the similarities and differences between the two speicfications.
