WEBENCH® Tools/OPA859: PSPICE model for OPA859

Part Number: OPA859
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TINA-TI

Tool/software: WEBENCH® Design Tools

Hi,

I would like to simulate OPA859 with PSPICE for TI. I searched for PSPICE for TI but couldn't find OPA859. Is there a PSPICE model?

  • Hello Ikuo,

It looks like the OPA859 is one of TI devices that has not yet been loaded into Pspice for TI. I believe they are working on importing all TI models into this software. In the meantime you can import the OPA859 .lib file into Pspice for TI using the method described in this training video. The OPA859 .lib file can be found by going to the OPA859 product folder and clicking on the Design and Development tab, then clicking Design tools and Simulation and downloading the OPA859 Tina-TI Spice Model. I have went through the process described in the video and created the OPA859.olb file as well as the design/project file of the OPA859 reference design. These files are attached below.

Edit: If you want to make a new simulation profile, make sure to add the OPA859.lib model to the library cache as shown in the training video at 3:00. Or you will run into errors.

    Thank you,

    Sima
