TIDA-00121: 12V 10A MPPT charger with LED driver

Part Number: TIDA-00121

Dear sir/madam,

My name is Vrushali. I am working with TIDA-00121. Need to make some changes in LED driver section, load voltage required is 66V and load current is 0.7A. My main concern is to set load current 0.7A in LED driver section independent of battery voltage and load voltage variations. Let me know if any software or hardware change required.

  • Hi Vrushali,

To increase the output voltage to 66V, you need to change Q5 and D1 to 80V / 100V rated parts and also increase the size and value of L2. Already the software implements a constant current output - so no change required to ensure fixed load current independent of load/battery voltages. However, the over voltage set-point for the output has to be changed.

    Regards,

    Salil
