TIDA-01069: 20 sensors to my raspberry pi by wireless

Genius 9880 points
Part Number: TIDA-01069

Hi Team,

Good day, we received inquiry regarding TIDA-01069. For me to not miss any information from customer. I will copy the query below.

"I need to connect the PIR sensor to my raspberry pi by wireless. i'll Need to connect more than 20 sensors to my raspberry pi by wireless and I need to know which sensor is alerting.  "TIDA-01069" This is the one i have looked into. "

Can you please  confirm if customer application is possible with our TI devices? or is there better solution for this?

Regards,

Maynard

  • Hi Maynard,

Do you have a specific wireless protocol in mind?  There are many options like Bluetooth/BLE, ZigBee, various sub-1G protocols, etc. that could be chosen based on the needed range, data rate, and power consumption.  I don't have much experience with the Raspberry Pi but from what I know they have a Wi-Fi connection, so perhaps in this case using Wi-Fi would be the most straightforward option.  In that case there are multiple options from TI depending on what is needed (e.g., an MCU, a network processor, a full module, etc.).  You can read more about Wi-Fi offerings here:

    .

The TIDA-01069 has a BoosterPack connector, so for simple prototyping it could be paired with a wireless LaunchPad board like the CC3532SF LaunchPad.

  • I will suggest to use IRA-S210ST01 as sensor and CC13xx or CC26xx. Something like this.
