Hello,
I am trying to learn about EMI input filter design, and I was wondering if there were any resources offered by TI that give a comprehensive guide to designing EMI input filters?
My current understanding is that the input filters are designed per their application (i.e. automotive, industrial, personal electronics, etc.), and there are compliance standards for each industry which determine
the component values (common-mode choke inductance, x-cap/y-cap capacitance).
So basically I think it is supposed to go like this:
Choose application --> Review that application's compliance standards --> design a filter to ensure EMI compliance is met
I mentioned the PMP21516 specifically because I am currently working on a 24V, 120W power supply for a personal electronics application. I would like to know how they arrived at the component values for their EMI input filter.
Best,
