[FAQ] PSPICE-FOR-TI: I cannot install PSpice for TI. The error message says "the required files cannot be read from the server".

When trying to install PSpice for TI using my access key, I got the following message:

  • PSpice for TI will require access to three different servers during installation time. This message indicates a failure to access one of these servers. Please ensure that your internet connection allows PSpice for TI to access the following hosts during installation:

    Every customer’s security settings are different and there is not a generic fix for this issue. Please try the following options as possible fixes:

    • Try installation with VPN/proxy/firewall disabled
    • You may need to modify Windows 10 proxy settings or whitelist the addresses listed above
    • You can try the following steps to modify the security policy
      1. Open Windows Control Panel->Administrative tools->Local Security Policy
      2. On the left hand side column, select Local Policies->Security Options
      3. On the right hand side column, select System Cryptography: Use FIPS compliant algorithms for encryption, hashing and signing. Double click on this and set it to disabled if it is enabled.
      4. Restart the machine and perform installation again.
