the control card F28027F fault detection is disabled !!

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MOTORWARE

hi everyone!

good day !

I am working with TMDSHVMTRSPIN v2.1 and Lab03a for both control cards.

I insert the   F28027F control card and run a motor ..after loading motor the Trip signal (TZ-1) got active but the motor did not stop!

I have done the same action with F28069M control card and motor stop due to fault current| signal (TZ-1). it worked properly.

so , I could not figure out why is that !

Q1: is that something normal and all of the F28027F control card TZ-1 are  disabled ?(or  mine has problem)?

Q2: how to active the TZ-1 signal for F28027F  in lab 3a?

thanks for attention .

Dave.

  • The TZ1 is enabled in HAL_setupFaults() in all of the labs by default if you didn't change the original example lab project.

How do you get the TZ1 active? You might check if the TZFLAG register of the ePWM modules is set accordingly if the TZ1 is active with a low level input.

  • hi dear Luo

    thanks for reply.

"The TZ1 is enabled in HAL_setupFaults() in all of the labs by default if you didn't change the original example lab project": yes I use the original Motorware lab without changing it .

"How do you get the TZ1 active? You might check if the TZFLAG register of the ePWM modules is set accordingly if the TZ1 is active with a low level input": I get in from H/W by with oscilloscope

here is the picture of it, TZ1(active low).

  • Please check if the TZFLAG is set accordingly, and make sure that the SW2 on F28027F controlCard is set to the right position for linking the TZ1 (GPIO12).

  • Hi dear Luo

after analyzing Schematic and PCB of control card and HVkit eventually I found out the problem .

the problem was from IT design HV kit .

I will post the picture that how I solved the problem to see.. :)

I soldered one pull up resistor to Fault_clear pin ,since this pin was not connected in control card F28027F !!!!

it was in High impedance !!!

please tell to your hard ware design  department to solve this issue in future HV kit , thanks.

    Dave.
