CCS/TIDA-00637: Schematic isolation question

Hi Team,

The customer has a question about TIDA-00637 schematic for the isolation/application question as below? Could you help check it? Thank you.

The Line and Neutral after resister divider then connect to MCU pin1 & pin2. However, we can't find the connection between R18 and R20.

Which ground should it connect? Or due to MCU just want to get the differential signal of AC voltage, so it didn't need to connect to any gnd? (Pic1)

Also, the primary side of V1/V2 connect to secondary side of V1+/V1- without the isolation, will there be any issue? Can this application meet the primary to secondary Hi-Pot testing?

Hi Mike,

I think the connection between R18 and R20 is not connected and V1 and V2 is brought as differential to MCU after resistive divider.

The MCU is referred to GND and the V2 is connected to PE as shown

There is only small capacitance between PE and GND as shown above and this cannot take high voltage . I think we might need an isolation to meet primary to secondary hi pot testing. I will discuss with team and let you know about this.
