CC2640R2F: Any plans for CC2640R2F with bigger RAM?

Hi,

The simple peripheral OAD Off-Chip based application I did using SDKv1.40 when ported to latest SDK does not work properly due to memory issues. Using the latest SDK we can only do a small application. Sometimes issues occur such IOS Bluetooth Connection and IOS Bluetooth Characteristics read and write. The 20KB RAM is too small when using the latest SDK. So, is there any plans for a CC2640R2F variant with bigger RAM.

    At this point we do not have any plans to release a CC2640R2F variant with larger RAM. Sorry.

    CC2640R2F comes in smaller packages which is a good choice for small Bluetooth peripheral devices such as wearables or Bluetooth tags. Now, if we use latest SDK, we can do a basic Bluetooth Application such as sending of sensor data to smart phone. If we add OAD then we encounter memory issues. In that situation the recommended to use TI BLE MCU's with bigger FLASH and RAM such as CC2642R and CC2652R. However the 7x7 mm size package of CC2642R and CC2652R is not suitable for small Bluetooth peripherals. This has been the situation from SDKv2.20 up to latest SDK release.
