Hi,

I will use the SMATRFTM-STUDIO to put the SaBLE-xR2 module :

To put the module in:

Continuous transmission with : pure carrier signal/modulation
Continuous reception

To Switch between channels
To Vary transmission power while testing

I don't want to go through the host-test project, I want to use the software on my own project, is this feasible or not? how can i proceede ?

Hi,

Generally speaking, SMATRFTM-STUDIO erases the flash of the device. In other words, there is no need to flash any specific image on the device before using SMATRFTM-STUDIO.

I would recommend to first use SMATRFTM-STUDIO with a launchpad. That way you will get use to its way of working.

Hi,
Thank you for your response.

Correct me if i'm wrong: if i want to test the radio performance of the module that i'm using, the one that is integrated on my PCB, I will not be able to do the test with my own application ?
I am currently looking for a tool that allows me to test the radio performance in order to get the certification of my product and I don't know how to proceed.

Hi Sabrine,

I think I have answered your question in your first thread CC2640R2F: Test software. Based on what you are writing here, the second option I have suggested seems to be the one you need. In addition, I have pointed you to the app note ETSI EN 300 328 Blocking Test for Bluetooth Low Energy that describes among others the way to use SMATRFTM-STUDIO.

I only have a vague idea of what your application includes, and I do not think it would be possible for your application to run the tests only using it. That being said, in some cases it would be possible. For example, if you have enabled PTM.
