Hello All,

Doubt related PCB Trace antenna desigm.

We are design a custom board with 1.6mm thickness and we are planning to use Trace antenna ((Application note AN043)) . But I see the antenna has been designed for 1 mm board thickness ( got this info from the design files  - CC2511_USB_Dongle_Reference_Design_readme_1_3.txt document) .

Can I use the same antenna or do i need to increase the length of antenna or shortern it 

Any comments ?

    Hi AK,

    In the Application Note it  says "It is also recommended to use the same thickness and type of PCB material as used in the reference design. Information about the PCB can be found in a separate readme file included in the reference design. To compensate for a thicker/thinner PCB the antenna could be made slightly shorter/longer. "
