Hello Everyone,

I want am new to CCS. I want to start BLE using project_zero files provided in ti resource explorer. But I am finding the following errors. Kindly help me to solve this issue. also find the reference images attached.

Do you use LAUNCHXL-CC2650 or LAUNCHXL-CC26x2R1? If you use LAUNCHXL-CC2650, your should use BLE-STACK-2-X

I am using LaunchExcel CC2650. I will check the BLE stack suggested by you.

Is it possible to install BLE-STACK-2-X_2.02.07.06 on Ubuntu?

Hey Sahil,

Unfortunately the installer is not provided for Linux environments. I would recommend continuing on a Windows machine if possible, as this is what we have tested.

I found some older documentation that may enable you to move forward (at your own risk): https://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Building_BLE_Projects_on_Linux . Note this wiki page has been deprecated so I don't have any further pointers here to help.

Hey, I have installed the BLE SDK on windows. I want to send ADC data over BLE (nrf connect software). Following are the examples provided in the software. Could you suggest to me which example would be suitable?

I am not familiar with nrf connect software but I would suggest you to use simple_peripheral as a based to implement it.

Hello,

Yes I have downloaded the simple_peripheral in my Launchpad board. The program gets downloaded successfully. I am now referring to this module- Simple peripheral. As per this link, it should throw data over UART as well as Launchpad should be visible in ble scanner app. But I am not getting any data over UART/ BLE scanner app.

The link you refer to is for CC2640R2F not CC2650. For CC2650, I would suggest you to refer to software-dl.ti.com/.../overview.html

Hey Sahil,

I would recommend reviewing our Simplelink Academy Modules for a high level overview on the steps required to send data over Bluetooth LE. Put simply, you'll need to send the data using notifications. This does require changing the application's Bluetooth LE profile.

Please note the linked Simplelink Academy modules are based on CC2640R2F and may not directly apply to projects on the CC2650. For more information, I would look inside the docs folder of your SDK install directory and take a look at our User's Guide. YK provided a link to the information that matches your device, but we have expanded on this material with the newer generation part.

I would recommend posting any further follow up questions in a separate thread as we have diverged from the original post.
