SIMPLELINK-CC13XX-CC26XX-SDK: FreeRTOS support for CC26XX devices?

Hi ,

I found this note in SimplelinkSDK: "Note: FreeRTOS is supported only on certain device families. FreeRTOS is not supported on CC13xx or CC26xx devices, since they use TI-RTOS in ROM.".

But in the BLE Stack Users Guide it shows how to use FreeRTOS with CCS and there is a multi_role example imported for the CC26X2R1 LAUNCHXL.

So meanwhile FreeRTOS supports CC26xx devices?

Hi Sebastian,

Thank you for pointing out this flaw in the documentation, it is an outdated note and I will work with the appropriate Team to have it removed from the CC13xx/CC26xx SimpleLink Core SDK User's Guide. There are TI Driver, Prop RF, and BLE multi-role examples available which support FreeRTOS.

Yes, the ROM does contain parts of the TI-RTOS kernel.
