LAUNCHXL-CC2650: CC2650launchpad

Part Number: LAUNCHXL-CC2650
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC1352R

Hi team,

Here's an issue from the customer may need your help:

The program in C:\ti\simplelink\ble_sdk_2_02_07_06\examples\cc2650lp\sensortag is burned in and there is no app display interface and no specific operating function. What's the reason for that? Can app stack be burned with Flash Programr 2?

Could you help check this case? Thanks.

Best Regards,

Cherry

  • Hey Cherry,

The sensortag is quite old, so I will do my best to answer your questions.

The project you reference is an OAD enabled project, so for it to work properly you will need to flash the bim, stack, and then app project. I was not too successful using Flash Programmer 2. I followed the OAD user's guide and used CCS to flash the bim first, then the stack, and then the app. Upon reset, I saw the application blink the green LED and saw advertisements. The default sensortag application doesn't print to uart. The sensortag project was meant to be used with the sensortag hardware alongside the Sensortag mobile app.

I would recommend starting off with the simple_peripheral example if using the launchpad.

FYI: our newer version of this is on the CC1352R, see the LPSTK link.
