CC2642R-Q1: ADC Settings on Sysconfig

Part Number: CC2642R-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SYSCONFIG

Team,

My customer is trying to implement an ADC function. It is setting the reference voltage at 4.3V-9.8bits as attached sysconfig capture, but it gets values like 3.3V-11.6bits setting.

How should they implement this so that the setting is reflected?

Thank you for your help.

Regards,
Nonaka

  • Nonaka,

There appears to be an issue inside SysConfig where the Reference Voltage can only be selected when the Reference Source is VDDS, however this is not correct and as such I have submitted a bug ticket for the Software Development Team to resolve.  Nevertheless, it is stated in the ADCCC26XX.h File Reference (from the TI Drivers Runtime APIs) and Datasheet (see Sections 8.1 and 8.12) that the reference voltage should not exceed VDDS.  Although 4.3 V is the equivalent fixed internal reference, this voltage should not be used as ADC reference since the maximum operating VDDS allowed on this device is 3.6 V.

    Regards,
    Ryan
