CC2650: IF frequency and selectivity and RF selectivity in 802.1.4 mode

What is the IF frequency for the CC2650 in 802.15.4 mode?  Is the IF selectivity and RF selectivity in that mode available to share?

    The RF selectivity is available in the datasheet.

    I'll have to check the IF frequency and get back to you. Is there a specific issue you're seeing that you think may be related to the IF frequency?

  • Hi Alexis!  We aren't having any issues, but need to provide info for a submission related to our product, including IF and RF selectivity.  (I was assuming I'd have to measure IF selectivity myself, but if there's any data available for that, it would save me a bunch of time!)

    And for RF selectivity, it is in the datasheet for other modes, but not listed in 802.15.4 mode.  Does the selectivity for BLE or another mode apply to 802.15.4 mode?

    I don't understand your request for IF selectivity data. Do you mean the value of IF of the device when operating in 802.15.4 mode?

    For RF selectivity, you can use the measurements provided in the datasheet for adjacent, alternate and channels at +/-15MHz or more (Section 5.12)

    Blocking and desensitization data is also available in the same table.

    The IF frequency of the device in 802.15.4 mode would be a great start.  I expect to have to take my own IF selectivity data after that (and I'm not sure how I'm going to do that yet given that the IF stage is not routed to pins), but was just asking in case it was available somewhere within TI.

    The selectivity as defined by those who are asking for the data is basically the bandwidth of the IF section (mostly defined by the IF amplifier itself I assume) as defined by bandwidths at -3dB down from peak, -20dB down, etc. 

    And thanks for pointing out the adjacent/alternate data; I was apparently filtering that out and didn't notice that it had bandwidths listed in the test conditions.
