CC2650MODA: wash of the module after installation on a PCB

I have found this thread with the same question I have, but I need more certainty with the answer. Is it okay to wash the CC2650MODA module once installed on a PCB? Could the washing create paths that potentially compromise RF performance? Do we have testimony of customers that successfully wash boards with CC2650MODA on it?

    Washing with distilled water followed by properly drying the board before use should not create unwanted paths or compromise RF performance.  Can you provide any further details on the standard of washing desired to be implemented?  I will loop in a Hardware representative who can further comment on the matter.

  • According to the customer, the concern is that due to the small holes in the shield the process would just get the components wet, and not actually wash them. If the module is assembled with no-clean flux the water would just spread the residue around which causes issues.

    Is the flux used to assemble the module no-clean flux?
