LAUNCHXL-CC2640R2: PERIODIC ADC MEASUREMENT USING IDLE MODE

Hi friends,

I want to do periodic ADC measurements using the idle mode to reduce the power consumption.

I want to measure one data in each second and send all accumulated data after 15 minutes via BLE.

Can anyone please suggest to me how to achieve this?

You can refer to SBP_PERIODIC_EVT implementation in simple_peripheral example to know how to create periodic event to do ADC measurements every seconds. For ADC reading, you can refer to CC2650 ADC example.

can I reduce the power consumption using SBP_PERIODIC_EVT implementation?

SBP_PERIODIC_EVT implementation would only wake up MCU every 5 seconds and the MCU would be in sleeping mode in most of time.

Hi sai,

There are some ADC Data * examples available in SENSOR-CONTROLLER-STUDIO which allow for occasional System CPU application wakeup once samples are available. You can refer to the SimpleLink Academy Labs and Documentation.
