Hi team,

Here's the request from the customer:

Customer wants to use SmartRF Packet Sniffer to capture bluetooth packets.

Can they use the driver of SmartRF Packet Sniffer to write their own packet capture software? Are there any introduction documents?

Hi Nick,

SmartRF Packet Sniffer can be used to capture BLE packets and track BLE5 advertisements: https://e2e.ti.com/f/1/t/1095524

This tool uses Wireshark 3.0.X by default to capture the data, so the customer could further investigate how this interface is achieved or export Wireshark data from a PCAP format which they can further interpret on their own. They can also read through the SmartRF Sniffer Agent section of the SmartRF Packet Sniffer 2 Help Documentation or reference external Wireshark documentation
