LAUNCHXL-CC2650: static green light

Part Number: LAUNCHXL-CC2650
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2650, UNIFLASH, BLE-STACK

Hi Team,

Good day. I am posting this inquiry on behalf of the customer.

I have a CC2650 launch pad,

Instructions to communicate with Simplelink started saying that if I click button 2 it should start broadcasting Bluetooth.

When I press I don't see a flashing green light see a static green light

Please see the video of the launch pad.

Please help to advise. Thank you for extending your help.

Kind regards,

  • Hi Marvin,

The green LED that the customer is observing is the XDS110 power LED but not the Green DIO7 LED.  Is this LaunchPad brand new out-of-box from a trusted distributor?  Also, is the device advertising on the SimpleLink Starter Phone App?  Please have them program download BLE-STACK and program an example (like simple_peripheral) using CCS, Uniflash, or Flash Programmer 2.

    Regards,
    Ryan

  • Hi Ryan,

Good day. Thank you for your prompt response. Please see the feedback from the customer.

The android SimpleLink app does not discover the board.
When I installed BLE-Stack it gives me an error of "connection rejected"

Please help to advise. Thank you for extending your support.
    Kind regards,
    Marvin
  • More information is required.  What do they mean that they receive a "connection rejected" error when installing BLE-STACK?  Please have them be much more specific concerning the steps performed thus far to get the error message, along with exactly where and how the error is being observed.

    Regards,
    Ryan
