CC2564: Setting duty cycle for radio testing

We have created a product using CC2564 and we have passed certification for both FCC and CE. Now we are trying to pass the Korean radio certification but they require us to set duty cycle on a test-signal so that they can test dwell time. Unfortunately I cant find any appropriate commands in either "CC256x_VS_HCI_Commands" or "CC256x Testing Guide" to set the duty cycle, so it is always 100% when using the test commands.

I have read some similar posts for different chips where SmartRF Studio is recommended, but that software does not support the CC2564. This post for example:

We are kind of stuck on this and any help would be appreciated.

Hey Gustav,

So I've looked through all of our documentation on this and don't see any way to adjust the duty cycle using the these commands.

I did come across this previous e2e post for Korea certification on this device.

Hi, thanks for looking into this.

The lab wants to measure BLE dwell time, and not PER/BER in BLE modulation. Is the suggestion that we test dwell time during CBT testing?

If I understand everything correct and we cant test this with CBT testing we wont be able to sell this chip in Korea. Will test-commands be added for this in the future or do we have to change the chip?

Hey Gustav,

I was thinking this may have been a work around used by others needing Korea cert. If this is not accepted by your test house, then we will need to try a different method. I'll ask some of my colleagues about this to see if they have helped other customers find a solution to this.

I'll update you on my findings within two business days.

Hey Gustav,

So I couldn't find other commands for adjust DC and it doesn't seem like we will be developing any. If using the CBT tester is not viable then unfortunately there won't be a way to perform the necessary tests for Korea cert.

If that ends up being a roadblock, we do have other devices I can suggest if needed.
