CC2640: IcePick_C: Error connecting to the target: (Error -241 @ 0x0)

Part Number: CC2640
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UNIFLASH,

Hi Experts,

Good day! I am posting this on behalf of the customer.

We need your assistance with the following error. I am trying to flash an application hex file into a custom printed pcb which has cc2640. I am using xds110 to connect to the target PCB. When I tried using smart rf flash programmer 2, it flashes and resets the target. But, when I use uniflash or cc studio, it says "IcePick_C: Error connecting to the target: (Error -241 @ 0x0) A router subpath could not be accessed. A security error has probably occurred. Make sure your device is unlocked. (Emulation package 9.11.0.00128)"

Thank you in advance for your support.

Best regards,
Jonathan

  • Hi Jonathan,

This error typically occurs if the CCFG is programmed incorrectly, in which case the recommendation is typically to perform a Forced Mass Erase using Flash Programmer 2 to return the CCFG to factory default settings.  Please have them also verify the CCFG settings of their firmware, try to program other CC2640s to determine whether the behavior is consistent across devices/hardware, and check the XDS110 connectors.

    Regards,
    Ryan
