Hi All,

I am new to using the CC2650STK and need to add an additional heartrate sensor to it, but am unsure on how to begin. If anyone could provide any guidance then that'd be extremely helpful.

Hi,

To help us address your question, do you mean that you want to physically add a heart rate sensor to interface with the CC2650?

As in, adding the sensor to the schematic/layout with the CC2650?

Hi Toby,

I would like to physically attach a MAX30102 to a CC2650STK SensorTag. I think I can do this by soldering headers to the DEBUG-DEVPACK and then using jumper cables to attach the two. Would this approach work?

Looks like the MAX* device uses I2C, and our CC2650 does support I2C, so in theory soldering onto the board could work.

I'll loop in a HW expert to comment on other considerations.

Hi Paul,

Yes this approach would work fine. Make sure to include some pull-up resistors as I2C is open-drain and won't work without them.
