Hello,

I flashed with UniFlash:

- mcuboot_onchip_LP_EM_CC2340R5_nortos_ticlang.hex

- basic_persistent_LP_EM_CC2340R5_freertos_ticlang.bin

And I can download with SimpleLink the application "basic_ble_oad_onchip_LP_EM_CC2340R5_freertos_ticlang".

Now, I want to download my application with SimpleLink. This application is based on basic_ble_LP_EM_CC2340R5_freertos_ticlang project.

I followed the user guide : https://dev.ti.com/tirex/explore/content/simplelink_lowpower_f3_sdk_8_10_01_02/docs/ble5stack/ble_user_guide/html/oad-mcuboot/imgtool.html

But at the end of download, the LED stays RED. I imagine that the mcuboot doesn't start the new application.

Can you confirm my assumption ?

Do you have any idea to resolve my problem ?

The LED staying RED after reset does mean that an error may have occurred.

Hi Jan,

Yes, I already test basic_ble_oad_onchip project and all works fine.

But I this project doesn't run on debugger. It"s why I used basic_ble_LP_EM_CC2340R5_freertos_ticlang project to start my project and to debug it. But now, I want to download this application by OAD.

I see 2 ways :

- How does basic_ble_oad_onchip project able to run on debugger ?

- How does basic_ble_LP_EM_CC2340R5_freertos_ticlang able to be dosnload by OAD ?

Hi,

Only OAD projects may be downloaded or perform OAD. To debug an OAD project, there are two ways to do this

1. Connect to the device as a running target

2. Modify the PC to restart the application while debugging as a running target to debug the entire application: https://e2e.ti.com/support/wireless-connectivity/bluetooth-group/bluetooth/f/bluetooth-forum/1260172/faq-cc2340r5-tips-to-debug-oad-software

You should be able to use all debugging capabilities using either of the two methods discussed above.
