CC2640R2F: How to use LaunchXL-CC2640R2 with Packet sniffer v2

Here is the SmartRF Packet Sniffer 2 User's Guide.  Follow the Getting Started Guide and confirm that all instructions are followed.  Is the LAUNCHXL-CC2640R2 the only device connected to your computer?  Please confirm that the UART RX/TX jumpers are connected on the XDS110 header row of the LaunchPad.  Do you have a separate LaunchPad (preferably a different 2.4 GHz version) or computer to test with?

I followed the guide till Getting Started — SmartRF Packet Sniffer 2 User Guide documentation (step 3) is not possible, because it didn't detect the board.

Regarding TX/RX, I used the same launchpad before with different Bluetooth projects and it is working fine.

also to double check i flashed `Host_test` sample using Uniflash and Btool can connect and use the board, so it must be something with the Packet Sniffer 2.

Is the LED blinking after you program the sniffer_fw.hex and reset the LP?  I do not have a CC2640R2 LaunchPad with me today but will test tomorrow.  I did notice that the CC2640R2F LaunchPad is missing from the Packet Sniffer 2 Hardware Requirements.  I don't have any history from the previous E2E thread but I will let you know my results within 24 hours.

I was able to obtain the LAUNCHXL-CC2640R2 but unfortunately cc26x0lp\sniffer_fw.hex did not operate on my CC2640R2F either, thus I believe you will need to use a different LaunchPad which is listed as supported in the Packet Sniffer 2 documentation.

It exists to support the LAUNCHXL-CC2650 and unfortunately there are too many differences between the CC2650 and CC2640R2F to be binary compatible for the sniffer firmware hex image.
