CC2540 RESET_N pin connections

Datasheet does not specify whether RESET_N has internal pull-up on it. However from evaluation kits schematics looks like it does. If it has a pull-up is it safe to to leave it unconnected?

Does RESET_N require a capacitor to GND for startup or the IC will startup reliably?

Hi Leo,

The reset pin has an internal pull-up of ~20 kohm (like the GPIOs). No capacitor is required for reliable startup, however we do recommend alow pass filter to supress high frequency noise. See the CCDebugger User's Guide chapter 6.2.1, note 2.
