Hi, how can I change the discovery timeouts when scanning for NonDiscoverable devices? (I think the default is 10 seconds) I see parameters to alter the timeouts for General and Limited, but not for NonDiscoverable.

Hi Ronald,

I am also new to all this. But as far as I understand, there is no discovery time out for general and it keeps advertising infinitely. In case of limited, you can set the time and it will advertise for that duration and stops being discoverable after that discovery timeout and you will have to again initiate advertising by that peripheral if you want to discover it.

And discovery timeout doesn't make any sense for non discoverable devices. Nondiscoverable ones doesn't advertise.

What if a peripheral/broadcaster that updates a uint16 dummy value in the advertData goes undiscoverable when you disconnect from it? How can I solve that? I have the CC2541, and I'm using the 1.4 version.
