cc2540 buzzer

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2540

Dear All

I am using keyfob and add PNP to drive the buzzer. However when cc2540 goes into powersaving, P1_6 turns on the PNP and cause large leakage current.

I try to set P1_6=1 after buzzerstop, but seems somewhere to set P1=0 before goes to standby

Anyone can give advice on this issue, many thanks

  • Hi,

If I'm not mistaken, the Buzzer on keyfob is timer output driven, means that

onboard timer (3 or 4) is driving this pin, when the CPU is in sleep mode this

pin will be automatically altered according to Timer 3/4 configuration.

The question is what type of buzzer do you driving with the PNP transistor?

Is it an AC or DC Buzzer?
