RE: compiler for CC2540?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2540

Hi

I have just downloaded a code size limited evaluation version of the iar workbench for cc2540 mini dk. And i could compile the project simpleBLEperipheral with no errors and warnings. I am using ble version 1.4 and iar workbench 8.20. Since this is a code size limited version of 4K, i wonder how i was able to compile.

the .map file has the following info

110 397 bytes of CODE memory
35 bytes of DATA memory (+ 73 absolute )
6 272 bytes of XDATA memory
194 bytes of IDATA memory
8 bits of BIT memory
4 145 bytes of CONST memory

Errors: none
Warnings: none

Can you please clarify?

  • Hello Sherin,

That sounds strange, are you sure you did not select the 30-day time-limited evaluation instead of the Kickstart version? On this page the following is stated:

The same installer is used for both the 30-day time-limited and the Kickstart (size-limited) evaluation edition. You select which evaluation license type you want to use after the installation. When you start the product for the first time, you will be asked to register to get your evaluation license.
