I was just looking at the CC2650, contemplating to use it in a design

My application needs some flash used for other things (not BLE stack)

How much flash is left if we have only the BLE host (sensor node)?

If that is not much, is it possble to shave off some code, for function not used in a host application?

Hello Klaus,

The BLE SW Dev Guide (SWRU393) has guidance on how to configure the BLE Stack for optimal flash usage. It will depend on your specific Stack requirements. I encourage you to download the SDK, configure the Stack based on your needs, then view the usage in the respective map files.

I just tried the SDK will the BLE stack

I used the simple peripheral as mentioned in the User Manual and build it. Without any optimization or removing code I got 55kB Flash for the full stack and 25kB for the App.

Does that sound resonable?

Hi Klaus,

That sounds about right. You can further optimize it by reducing the number of pages for non-volatile storage and remove drivers used by SimpleBLEPeripheral (such as SPI, LCD).
