I don't have any sample implementation for this HDC EVM, but you can refer to the CC2650STK SensorTag which uses a direct I2C connection to an HDC1000. They should be similar, but if you have any questions about the HDC EVM itself, our experts in the HDC forum can assist.

The APIs in bsp_i2c.c would call driver APIs in I2C.c.

I am not sure about this but I would suggest you to separate it from MSP430.
